In commemorating the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and the National Road Safety Council launched the Road Safety Week yesterday morning at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
It was launched by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications as Chairman of the National Road Safety Council. Also held was the launching of the Road Safety Video Competition that is open to the public starting yesterday until the 31st of January next year.
The event coincided with the video clip presentation that carried National Road Safety Council's official message. A special forum also enlivened the event, carrying the them 'Life Is Not A Car Part' which shared on exposure towards increasing road safety. Also present were Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, Deputy Minister of Development as Deputy Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, and Pengiran Haji Mohd Zain bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Razak, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommuncations as the council's secretary.
